GS Henley Womens Ride – 11th July

GS Henley Womens Ride – 11th July
In an effort to encourage more ladies into the GS Henley fold we’re running a women’s ride for new and existing members on 11th July. This inclusive ride will be suitably paced and give a taste of group riding in a friendly, welcoming, nobody-gets-dropped atmosphere. Designed for women who want to take their cycling up a gear, or perhaps would like to learn group riding skills and explore some new routes, but without the intimidating pack of SML (speedy men in lycra).
We’ll do a 60km route at a minimum pace of 20kph in groups of max 6 people. We’ll designate groups on the day depending on the speed people want to ride at, but the focus is on group riding at a steady pace – no prizes for getting back for coffee first, it’s about riding together.
Each group will have a group leader, there will be a safety briefing beforehand and coffee and cake in the rugby club café afterwards.
8.30 at the public car park behind Henley Rugby Club. Roll out at 8.45.
Please spread the word and drop a message to Nichola (nichola@earlyrider.com) or Katherine (katherinerees73@gmail.com) to register and we’ll send all the details in the week before the ride.
You can also RSVP via the events page.
